Old Mount Tabor Cemetery, Adams County, Indiana
Old Mount Tabor Cemetery of Saint Mary's Township, Adams County, Indiana, also known as Shaffer Cemetery, is a public cemetery a distance back from the road. The lane goes north from Piqua Rd., across from Mount Tabor Cemetery. It is said all those people died at one time of cholera. There was an epidemic of cholera in Willshire, Ohio and the surrounding territory in 1848 and another in 1854. Only 7 survived the 1854 period." This information was recorded in the Decatur Daily Democrat, in an article by Richard Marland. The cemetery can be found by the following legal description: S16 T27N R15E.
