Note: Joseph was actually buried at this site, which was on his land and NOT at the Robertson Family Cemetery where his wife Rachel is buried. There is no marker or any evidence of burial here now. However, the county surveyor says he was the first land-owner. His property was located on the NW corner of 25th Street (St.Rd.46) and 650E between Petersville and the jnct. of 25th St. and St.Rd. 9. There is a newspaper article written in 1877 that gives evidence that Joseph was buried here (The Democrat, Columbus, Indiana, October 5, 1877).
