The 1911 Courthouse is one of few early 20th Century Indiana Courthouses not made of limestone. Its cost was minimal compared to other Courthouses built in the period that were typically $200 - $300K. It appears however that Dubois County got very good value for the money spent.
The Civil War Monument was dedicated in 1894.
