The 1837 courthouse was moved after the 1848 courthouse was built and utilized for a variety of functions until it was torn down about 1904.
The present Courthouse has two or more carved lions at all four main entrances.
A.W. & E.A. Rush designed three center tower Romanesque Courthouses in Indiana in the 1890's in Fulton, Pulaski, and Rush Counties. Rush cost ~ $250,000, Fulton ~ $150,000, and Pulaski ~ $50,000.
The courthouse square includes "Fulton County Men in Service" Memorial and a Fulton County War Memorial.
