Leesburg was a temporary County Seat in 1836.
The 1884 Courthouse is similar in style to the present Parke County Courthouse and the now demolished Delaware County Courthouse.
The "Kosciusko County Civil War Memorial" base was erected 1897, the Monument c.1945. The courthouse square also includes a "Kosciusko County War Memorial."
