The first county courts were held in the home of Enoch Farmer who resided in Warrentown. The court next met in the home of William Harrison, the proprietor of the town of Williamsport., and then a rented facility in Williamsport.
There exists documentation that the 1908 courthouse incorporates the foundation and some walls of the 1888 courthouse.
