Former president of the Association for Retarded Citizens and a founder of Atlantic County Opportunity Center for the Handicapped. Best known for his role in helping mentally disabled people in Atlantic County. He not only served for years as president of the ARC but was a founder and active member of the Atlantic County Opportunity Center for the Handicapped.

Surviving are his wife, Bert; two daughters, Roz Gillespie and Shirley Reilly, both of Absecon; a son, William also of Absecon; two sisters, Leah Frazier of Pomona, and Jessie Wolfson of Pleasantville; a brother, Sol of Ventnor; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
